Petition to change unity school road speed limit

The 21st of August 2018 a beloved family dog, diesel, was hit and killed and the man took off. I've seen two other beloved dogs hit on this road, we also have plenty of children that live on this road that could of easily been in diesels or the other dogs positions, let's just say a ball goes into the road a child looks both ways before going to get the ball and next thing you know a car is going 55mph heading straight towards a kid, this person driving the vehicle might not even be doing the speed limit, we see many vehicles speeding on this road at speeds ranging from 55mph to 70 mph. We are looking into getting the speed limit reduced, may that also help how much people speed on this road.
