Unilever Announces $120 Million Investment To Scale Production Of Palm Oil Alternative

At this point there is not direct replacement for palm oil, but Unilever is seeking to develop new technologies, that can scale, that will help the company stay true to their "zero-deforestation supply line by 2023" commitment. With time this investment may yeild technologies that will reduce (and perhaps one day eliminate) the reliance on palm oil in many areas of Unilever's business.
