The killing of innocent abandoned animals in shelters must be abolished! Thousands are euthanized daily for lack of space. These poor pets should not have to die. Animal cruelty is a crime, and euthanasia is animal cruelty.
When prisons and jails are overcrowded, inmates are not killed. As schools become full, children are not euthanized. In hospitals and nursing homes at over capacity, patients are not killed. In these situations, the overflows are shuttled to less congested areas, or temporary additions are acquired. Larger facilities are built. Why not do the same with animal shelters? I would rather my tax money go to this cause as opposed to caring for illegal aliens flooding this country.
God gave man pets for companionship, service aides, and soul mates. Pets have been known to save the lives of their humans. The Lord also gave man the responsibility to take care of His animals. Intentionally killing these poor creatures is not caring for them. Their only crime is they are temporarily homeless.
Please don't let this mass killing continue! Call, email, or write the local, state, and federal politicians in your area. Be the voice for these unfortunate pets on death row. We can not let this continue in good consciousness. Thank you.
