Republicans fighting bank/finance regulation.

Many Republicans in Congress are now fighting legislation that would allow DEMOCRATIC government regulation of our nation's out of control banking/finance and investment corporations.

Instead of democratic government led regulation which is answerable to the people through the democratic vote, that we have earned and are given.....many Republicans are now advocating turning banking and finance regulation back over to the undemocratic private sector once again....which is basically what got us into this mess in the first place.

Why is turning regulation of the banks and finance/investment firms over to private regulators a bad idea?......BECAUSE PRIVATE SECTOR REGULATORS OF THE ECONOMY ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS AS PUBLIC/GOVERNMENT REGULATORS ARE!...."WE THE PEOPLE" have no voice in what private regulators do with our money!

Apparently many Republicans do not wish for the citizens of the United States to have a DEMOCRATIC say through our government in the regulation of banks and financial/investment firms that control billions or possibly trillions of dollars of OUR money...the American citizens....can you believe this!!!

We the American people will have no say in how the banks and investment firms on Wall Street manage our money if regulation of the banks is turned over to the private sector again.......the anti-democratic, anti-government, anti-regulatory measures and attitudes of the previous administration are in large part responsible for the banking/finance/investment/auto industry mess we are now still recovering from.....their philosophy was....."Let's give the private sector free reign to do as they see fit"

Democratic public say and democratic government regulation was stifled under Republican politics in favor of private "self-regulation" not subject to the voice of democracy or "WE THE PEOPLE".....let's not let this fiasco and sucking up to financial power happen again.

Write your local congressmen and women and let them know that you are for democratic government led regulation of the wildly out of control beast of the private banking and investment sectors of our economy.....let the people call Wall Street into account for their indiscretions with OUR money.
