Canada is already struggling to meet its commitment of accepting 1,300 Syrian refugees over the past year; as of November, fewer than 500 Syrian refugees have arrived in Canada. Furthermore, there is some evidence that Canada is being discriminatory towards the refugees being accepted.
Some sources say that Canada is only accepting refugees who are members of certain religions. Not only is this discriminatory, but it goes against the UN's policy on refugees, which says that a resettlement program should be "needs‐based" and "non‐discriminatory."
Tell Canada to accept more Syrian refugees without discrimination!
