Stop city from selling public land

We, local residents do not want the sale of river bank field to private ownership and instead we need there to be our culture and art park. 8 years the city only bounces our efforts, never included any resident's opinions in any of the documentation.
It is the last open space in the center of the town where a central park should logically be, not the four 8 level concrete buildings blocking all the sunlight and access. We will literally have nowhere to go to breathe anymore. https://goo.gl/maps/VDNDc9b5XiVXaiPj7
