When authorities approached a home in response to a missing person tip, they likely did not realize the extent of the brutality they were about to see. They found 18 dogs crammed into the home, neglected and living in horrid conditions. The scene was so awful that one innocent pup had to be euthanized immediately. Then, the situation got even darker: officers found child abuse material on the man's phone and recovered the remains of his missing father in a vacant lot nearby.
Authorities are already pressing charges, but it's possible this man has harmed other people. We must ensure he is fully investigated and can never own animals again.

This case is a tragic reminder that animal abuse is often linked with domestic abuse. If a person is going to physically harm their family or partner, there's a good chance they'd be willing to harm an animal, too.
