Ban zone defence in u16 Basketball England competitions

It is widely accepted that zone defence in basketball, is poor for teaching purposes in the development of young players. However, the practice is used commonly in our u16 domestic competitions.

We would like to urge Basketball England to ban the use of zone defences in all u16 competitions, to encourage coaches, clubs and players to focus on the development of man-to-man defensive strategies, to the benefit of the young athletes.
