Don't Let the GOP Restrict Our Access to Congressional Actions

After the #NoBillNoBreak protest on the house floor last year to try and force some action on gun control, the GOP portion of Congress decided they don't want the public knowing everything that goes on in Congress. Now they've put new rules in place to fine lawmakers for taking pictures or videos from the House floor.

Moving forward lawmakers could have to pay up to $2,500 just for showing citizens what's going on in Congress.

During the #NoBillNoBreak protest, House Speaker Paul Ryan turned off C-Span because he didn't want anyone to see that the Republicans were refusing to even hold a vote on gun control. This new set of rules would deter lawmakers from showing constituents what is really going on in Congress and it's dangerous.

Sign the petition to tell your representatives to drop the $2,500 fine rule. The rule prevents visibility into our democratic process, which would make corruption that much easier.
