Call to Delay Vote on Proposed School Start Times Change by Woodland CCSD#50 BOE

The Woodland CCSD# 50 Board of Education, (BOE), will be taking action on a proposed change to the start time of school for all grades in our district, Pre-K through 8th at the December 20, 2018 General board meeting. Families, staff, and other community members were not asked for input on the proposed bell schedules. These changes were not shared until December 3rd, 2018. The BOE and Administration has not been transparent with this issue with only mentions of proposed future action at 3 or 4 general meetings since March 2018 and a Board forum that was held on October 29, 2018.

Your signature would show support to a call to delay this action item vote until after a committee of stakeholders has been formed to discuss the ramifications of this change in a more in-depth manner. At the December 13, 2018 forum and the December 20, 2018 board meeting, we will share and submit the petition results with the board members present and the administration.
