Save our kids, stop the "legal" and illegal drug abuse

My plea to all parents READ THIS! PLEASE!!!!!!!

My son is 17, he is going through a drug problem, started with the occasional joint, led to us drug testing him and he started all the “legal” ways to get high to pass his drug tests,that led to not being able to get high enough and starting back on illegal drugs to get a fix.  This has now led to persription drug abuse,alcohol, oxycotin and heroin.  Walk into any doctors office, ER, anywhere on the internet, make phone calls upon phone calls, your local police department, the judge, school, etc and on and on you will find phone numbers on ads that say “Drug problem?” or “does your child need help” call anyone of those numbers and you’ll find that you will be told NO, there is nothing you can do, If your child is 14, for crying out loud, let me repeat that “14”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they can refuse treatment, if your lucky enough to get them there, don’t get excited, they can sign themselves out!  Let me repeat that again for anyone who missed it “14”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! years of age.  What is a 14 year old capable of in the decision making field?  NOTHING!!!!!!!!!! Who made these laws and why are they in effect in year 2011 when the drug problems are so rampid amoung teens that they are actually leaning towards snorting “nutmeg” a spice in all our cabinets to get high to avoid failing drug tests? These kids will injest anything they can to get their “high” and there are no tests for it.  I was personally actually told by an ER crisis worker that the only way to prove they are getting high from legal ways, whether it be, nutmeg, bath salts, K2 spice, funkey monkey, insensce, etc ,etc, my god the list is so long, would be upon their AUTOPSY…well that’s a little frkn late don’t you think??????????????

I have been begging for help for over a year, my husband and I have pleaded our case to the ER, the judge, the police, the school, the poison control center, children youth and services and any rehab within a 100 mile radius of us, we are told, “he is 17 and has to voluntarily sign himslef in” what frkn 17 year old that is getting high everyday, running away from home, skipping school to the point he is about 1 day from being expelled his senior year and is under the influence at all times is going to say “ok, I have a problem and need help, lets do this!”  My god look at what your asking of a child??????? Not going to happen, no way.

These laws need to be changed, the system NEEDS to be changed! After all I’ve been through in being told NO every avenue we take to get help…I FINALLY got my son to see he needs help, over the phone through admissions into a rehab got him scheduled to go, bags packed and all and in the door.  God this is a great day!  NO!!!!!!!!!!! then only to be informed the insurance denied us.  This kid has already been in therapy, the ER etc…all of which our insurance company has record of, we gave them stacks of papers from school with his grades going from honor roll to F’s, his truancy charges, his breaking curfew citations, his smoking under age, his failed drug tests, his paperwork from the ER for substance abuse, his family history of addiction and depression, his fathers suicide because of substance abuse, his $500 fine for fighting and being court ordered into anger management classes, his violent behavior towards other students at school and being suspended time after time, his insubordination at school and being suspended time after time, his running away from home three times in the last year..2 of those times long enough to  be put on the missings persons list NCIC. I and my husband have a closet full of drug paraphernalia, homemade bongs, tinfoil pipes , empty insence containers…so may pills we can’t identify, which we have taken to the local pharmacies and they say we have to send them to labs to have analysed to see what they are, we find so much detox stuff, that they are downing left and right to pass their drug  tests at which the volume that that is being injested alone can’t be healthy. When will we make a stand, come together as parents and say enough is enough….you can’t control the life of my child any longer, that is MY RIGHT AS A PARENT and I will NOT let you take them from me anymore….I have posted this among other things on FB..including a list that I would like you all to participate in, in giving me the names of anyone you know or have known in the past who’s death resulted in a drug problem…can be overdose or suicide…or anyone who is missing that is a result of substance abuse that has had them listed  as a runaway…please , please share your info to help me change these laws! This is the second time I’ve been through this,  I saved my one child and he is  2 years clean and amazing….but this is a battle once again in my family and it needs to end.  It is no longer just wanting the help, its getting the help, and being told NO is no longer an option for me!  No child left behind law for school is great and all but if all our kids are dying or self destructing in other ways, that law doesn’t really mean anything when they are so high they can’t even get them self to school, or if we get them there, they want a fix of something so bad they leave. I’m begging as a parent share your info with me as I create these petitions and matters which I intend to take to the borough meetings, school meetings, state representatives, congress etc…I have had enough and we all should feel that way.  If you are a parent going through this and feel its your fault and are “embarassed” STOP feeling that way NOW..I did that for the longest time, until my son, a 3 year heroin addict” got clean and told me I saved his life…he wrote me a letter not to long ago, because someone posted on FB that a childs behavior is the result of the way they were raised and if you have a drug addict for a child look at yourself as to why….I took that very personally as a failure…My recovered son, yelled at me and said “NO, never believe that”  and that I was his support and saved his life and without me he would probably not be here. Its not your fault, if your reading this you care, now do something about it and help me…we can all help eachother and just put a stop to all this insanity…..for my own safety and that of my family, I wont go into specific names, but there are places in q-town that are selling the so called legal drugs, the legal drugs that have since been banned , illegal drugs and cigarettes to our minor children, and a certain police force which again I won’t mention has knowledge of this and is doing nothing…I’ll be happy to name specifics if you message me. Funny if a bartender serves someone under age or if a place is caught selling tobacco to under age persons its like a $5,000 fine…but hey my kid can do drugs at 17, you can sell it to them, the police know who is doing it, but that’s ok, then tell me how to parent and I can’t control my child.  Like I said, this system is ASS backwards, lets change it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I personally, have watched my children go to too many childrens funerals and I do not want to go to MY childs funeral
