When you hear the term animal shelter, what images come to mind? A place where animals who are lost come to be reunited with their families? A place where unwanted animals get a second chance for a home? Or a place where animals are routinely killed without any effort to determine if they are lost or able to be placed in a home?
Kill shelters are wrong and cruel, and i strongly believe that they should not exist. Just because they don't have enough room doesn't give them the right to just kill healthy, loving animals who have most likely been through enough already and deserve happiness just like all of us. They might just be animals but they can also easily be apart of the family, so please if you are as passionate about animals as i am then this should be enough reason for you to help make a difference.
I'm seventeen years old and i have a strong passion for helping animals because they have always had a big part of my heart. I have a dog and two cats and sometimes i just can't imagine beautiful animals like them being murdered for absolutely nothing.
