On April 25, 2016, while waiting at a stop sign in Clearwater Florida, a man in a van, swerved into a drainage ditch and came crashing down on my son's car. My son's girlfriend was killed at the scene and my son was air lifted to St. Petersburg Hospital. He was in a coma and on life support until 17 days later when he passed away. The driver received nothing. He went to TRAFFIC COURT, received a fine of $!,083,oo fine, License suspended for a year, and traffic school. He kills two people and that's all? He refused a blood test at the scene and so They had to go by his statement "! fell asleep" at the scene. My son and his girlfriend were termed A TRAFFIC INFRACTION and this man walks away. I wrote to both president, I Wrote to both presidents, my Governor, my Senator, My states representative to congress. I called my States Attorney, three lawyers. I answers I did get were the same, "Without a toxology report nothing can be done". I want a bill passed that it be mandatory that a blood sample be taken at an car accident. If the bill is passed I want it named The Larry and Janelle Law" my son and his girlfriend had a name.
