Allow Three-Fourths Verdicts for Misdemeanors.

Whereas, getting an unanimous vote from a jury to reach a verdict is extremely difficult and would be costly to the taxpayer for prolonged deliberations,

and whereas misdemeanors are not as serious as felonies,

and whereas a three- fourths majority is needed by juries to reach verdicts in civil case,

We the undersigned therefore humbly request an amendment to the Constitution of the State of California that requires juries to use a three-fourths majority to decide verdicts in misdemeanors.
