Thank England for Banning Wild Animals in Circuses

The British government has banned the use of wild animals in circuses in England!

British Veterinary Association president Peter Jones says‘There is no place in today’s society for wild animals to be used for our entertainment and we are absolutely delighted.’”

Circuses do not provide captive animals with a humane standard of care such as appropriate diets, natural habitats or climate, socialization or exercise. The animals are often subjected to abusive training techiques and forced to perform trick out of fear of punishment from whips, chains, bullhooks,clubs, and electric shock.

Circuses fail to educate people about the animals or their habitats. They do not protect endangered species- they actually fuel an often illegal, black market trade for animals to be captured and sold to circuses.

Thank the Prime Minister for banning wild animals for circuses in England and saving them from a life of degradation and death. Tell him you appreciate his county's forward thinking and compassion for animals.
