Stop the proposed Ridge Water Resort development

Approx 6-7 years ago the developer applied for a permit with Parkland County under the premise that he was creating "gentle rolling hills" for horse pasture. Developer cleared approximately 1/4 section of forested land and created 4-5 terraced levels. The trees were burned on the land. The altered landscape created ground runoff which affected the adjacent road, CN railway, and caused dirt to seep into Lake Wabamun. The runoff has caused flooding of a neighbor's basement for the past 3 years. The road had to be repaired by Parkland County at the taxpayers expense and poer poles also had to be moved. The developer has ignored many "stop orders" that Parkland County and Alberta Environment has enacted. Gravel extraction and crushing has continued for the past 3-4 years and the developer breached an order at an appeal hearing at Parkland County in October 2017 allowing him to crush the existing pitrun pile and to cease and further operations after that. The developer has since extracted 4 more piles of pitrun and crushed them. The developer stated at the appeal hearing that he would comply with the order and that his intention was to build his "dream home". The developer recently made application for development for Ridge Water Resort Campground.
