Stop Gun shop from opening near a Park and a local High School

I am protesting the opening of a gun store in a residential area. The name of the gun store is called Black Riffle Firearms. It will be one building and one street away from Garfield Park, and 3 buildings away from our local High school. It is a privately owned business, and according to elected officials, the zoning laws protect it. The odd thing is that the gun store is outside the city limits, but the high school is further out than the gun store and the city claims that the high school is in the city limits even though it looks more like it's in the country. In order for kids who walk to school to get there, they have to walk right past the gun store. My goal is to reach out and get other parents involved so we may have a peaceful protest and hopefully get the store owners to relocate. A residential area is no place for a store that sells weapons! Any help I can get to fight this is much appreciated.
