Support The #Green Lane along Zambezi Road!!
Please sign this e-petition in support of creating a pedestrian side walk, a cycling lane and bus lay-bys along Zambezi Road, which is currently being widened.
Zambia Road Safety Trust (ZRST) reports over 100 people killed every month, where pedestrians and cyclists continue to make up almost 70 percent of the more than 2,000 annual road traffic deaths in Zambia.
In order to achieve the target of reducing the number of road traffic accidents by 50% by 2020 set by ZRST, the design of new roads currently being constructed in Lusaka and around Zambia at large needs to be considered in order to attain this goal and protect our children, families, friends, neighbours and citizens.
Please sign this petition, for a pilot project to create a pedestrian side walk, a cycling lane and to design more bus lay-bys along the newly widened Zambezi Road, as well as planting an alley of trees along either side of the road.
