Animals are people, too. Yet, every day, animals are forced to perform in circuses against their will.What animals are being mistreated?
Mistreated animals include elephants, camels, tigers, lions, horses, bears, zebras, llamas, alpacas, and more!
The worst circus may just be Ringling Bros. Circus. They claim to care about elephants, and even set up an elephant conservation center, but don't let that fool you. If they cared about elephants, they'd stop caging all of their animals.
In 1929, they killed a majestic elephant called Black Diamond, and displayed its head for everyone to see.
Over the years, Ringling Brothers has been cited numerous times for feeding animals unhealthy and unsanitary food, trapping tigers in boxes where they were nearly baked, injuring animals and failing to provide them with medical care, refusing to test animals for tuberculosis, improper handling, and general violence/abuse.
All of these offenses are in violations of the AWA.
