In 2002 the Bear Lake Township Board took the Road Endings from the County of Kalkaska with the intent to protect them. They were surveyed, white painted posts installed at the property corners, and signs put up. The Bear Lake Township, as well as various property owners, have been maintaining them each year since. It's clear from the Special Meeting on Road Endings on April 8,2014 the majority of the people want them to remain open to the public. We want the Bear Lake Township to stop any and all actions to vacate the Road Endings in Bear Lake Township. We want the Bear Lake Township to continue the maintenance of all Road Endings in Bear Lake Township.
