The City of Brookhaven has 12 parks but not ONE in the 4th District. The City of Brookhaven’s 4th District needs a park and the perfect location for the 1st park/nature preserve is the land at the end of Gail Dr and the Dekalb County School District green space located on Curtis RD.
When Woodward Elementary and Cross Keys High School were built, the kids from Gail Dr. and Clearview would walk to school through the woods to steps directly across from the gym of Cross Keys High School. You can still see the steps and this would be a wonderful access for a park with plenty of parking at Cross Keys and Woodward for park goers in the evenings and weekends.
In addition, this land would be a great resource for the students of Cross Keys High School and Woodward Elementary. Many Dekalb County School Districts schools have nature trails on their land.

Let’s not forget Brookhaven’s new revised park and school at Skyland.
The City of Brookhaven 4th District deserves Cross Keys Nature Preserve (name?) with wooded nature trails for the residents, students and wildlife.
Please email the the list of City of Brookhaven’s decision makers to let them know that you want a park/nature preserve in the 4th District. The 4th District deserves green space too.
