Stop Killing Sheep

We the undersigned request that your facility stop using live sheep in your Advanced Trauma Life Support training.  Almost every other teaching hospital in the U.S. is using state-of-the-art simulators approved by the American College of Surgeons for trauma training.  It has been found that it is not necessary to use live sheep, killing them after they have been cut open, when a simulator can achieve the same teaching goal.  We understand that you already own several of these simulator units.  If at this point you have decided to abandon using live sheep in your labs, we thank you for your decision.  If not, please reconsider.
