Horse Carrige Neglect And Abuse

My name is Elle and I’m 12 years old. During a recent trip to New York City, I visited Central Park with my family and noticed several horse-drawn carriages. I was very concerned by what I saw.
The horses appeared exhausted, with little access to food, water, or rest. Some were forced to work in extreme weather and pull heavy loads, and I even witnessed a few being hit or punched by their handlers. It was heartbreaking to see them treated this way.
I believe many tourists don’t realize the abuse these animals face daily, and I hope speaking out can help bring more awareness and encourage better treatment of the horses.
