Petsmart Charities Bans Unaltered Kittens From Being Displayed By Non Profit Groups In Their Stores

Petsmart has been working with Non Profit Rescue Groups for many years. Kittens and adult cats have been allowed to be displayed for adoption. As of April 10, 2014, there is a new regulation. They will not allow ANY non profit group to bring an unaltered cat into their stores   This is now kitten season. Kittens are ready for adoption at 8 weeks old. Many non profit groups do not believe in altering any kitten under 4 months or under 3 pounds. How is this fair??? How can we jeopardize the health of these kittens??  Kittens are adopted a lot quicker being kittens.  Non profits that due rescue are here to rescue. There are so many kittens being born right now!  Petsmart needs to know that this new policy is unacceptable!!  We are here for the animals. We need to rescue as many kittens as possible. This will not be possible if we cannot adopt them out until they are old enough to be altered. If they want to implement a policy of obtaining proof by adoptees about kittens being altered at the appropriate safe age, that would be acceptable.
