Riot Games keeps banning players for verbal abuse, which is absurd, and not necessary in this situation. League of Legends isn't a fun party game anymore, insulting your premade friends (or just having fun with them) in game and you get a chat restriction.
"Yes, these actions aren't necessarily straight up cursing or issuing death threats but they do further perpetuate the negativity within the match, so this suspension was warranted."
- Templar Iytsuna (Player Behavior and Game Support)
Why isn't a chatban not enough then? Since if it's only about the chat 'within the match'.
Stop banning players for using the chat. Its just an unfair and extreme system, that bans too many innocents (and yes... when there is 1 out of 20 people randomly banned, its too much even you got 19 other players banned correctly). Banning players just based on the chat is too extreme, no matter what.
Riot Games doesn't want to accept the hard truth: the bot system is not correct (plus so is Riot Games itself, keep on reading for more). Beside that the report options are being abused! Here are some examples of incorrect bans:
- GoodGuyGarry got banned:
"For not trying hard enough. At least that's what he said. So basically all his account got banned, and the reason he gave on stream was that playing placement matches he picked champions/roles he didn't really know how to play (e.g. support) and let himself get carried. (So that he wouldn't get placed so high and would be able to duo with bronze/silver viewers.) He didn't intentionally feed. Is that RIOTs official reasoning for the bans? Do I have to fear getting banned now when I try out new champions in ranked? Or when playing placements and getting last pick, do I have to play double jungle/double adc, take all the hate and just hard carry the game? Will I get banned if I pick support and suck too much on it to carry?"
GoodGuyGarry supports League Of Legends (by livestreaming it on Twitch.tv + he makes YouTube videos) and this is what they do.

- VideoGameDunkey got banned:
"Insulting a teammate after intentionally feeding". You banned the wrong one... This is a YouTuber, who supports League Of Legends, advertising for them by making videos(he has 2.42million subscribers on YouTube). "During my whole carreer of being the top guy, promoting their game for four years, Riot has almost done nothing to help me out or promote me". Look at Sp4zie, being every two months on the League Of Legends client homepage. He has less then 1/2 subs of Videogamedunkey!

=== PRO PLAYER GETS UNBANNED ===
Me: Why am I permbanned for verbal abuse?
"This action is only taken after repeat punishments and we will not lift the suspension under any circumstance."
- Shaura (Player Support Specialist)
Under ANY circumstance? Then why is Incarnation unbanned, for DDOSing in competitive matches, verbal abuse, negative influence? (while even being a professional player??!). He was doing even more damage to the community and other players, and gets an unban! "Riot monitored him in a parole type situation and after 6 months found him to be fit for return to playable gamer status (which includes access to competitive League of Legends)." Why is a perma-ban for him, 6 months, and for a 'normal' player forever? So as a pro-player you stand above the others?

"As this account had ruined the game experience for others we will have to remain firm in our stance against it." (which is not lift up the ban)
- Templar Iytsuna (Player Behavior and Game Support)
Why not give an IP ban instead of a permban? Since it's a permban and they are supposed to never play again? Want players to make new accounts and pay for the game again?
Feeders and trollers can keep on playing, but toxic players (because of that) get banned. You can't use a bot to 'solve' this!
My point is, Riot Games shouldn't permaban for not using the chat correct, but for trolling, using bots, hack or cheat clients, scamming, or going away-from-keyboard a lot. It looks like Riot Games only cares about the money :( As we all know, Riot Games wants to hear our voice (by example sending surveys by email) but actually they don't care about them because they have enough. So sad they don't care about permbanning players, even how hard you keep trying to get unbanned, it doesn't matter (if they did care they wouldn't permban but just chatban, to keep their players in the game).
I personally didn't even know the next step would be a permban, which is for me the worst part about the permban, they could at least make it a little bit more clear the next step would be a permban!
