Since September 2016, AUC has put itself in a situation in which it no longer has the capacity to house all of their current students. To solve this they have changed the move-out dates for the graduating February 2017 students so that they, at this point, will stand homeless in the middle of the final week of the January 2017 intensive period.
This is a contract breach between DUWO and the students, as the agreement states that the pupils have the ability to stay in the dorms until the first day of the month following the one in which they finalised their studies. Since the semester ends on February 3rd, this means that they entitled to stay until the 1st of March.
Since neither AUC management nor DUWO seems to be interested in taking responsibility of this, the February students call for the faculty to own up to their agreements on housing that was mutually signed. To not breach this agreement, the students should be allowed to reside in the dorms, or be compensated with alternative housing by AUC, until the 1st of March.
