SAVE ST ANDREW'S KINDERGARTEN
After more than 75years St Andrew's Kindergarten, Aberfeldie has been told to close, with the Parish of St Andrew's Anglican Church terminating the lease at the end of 2022. This decision, made by only a few, will have a vast and highly detrimental impact on the community. Enrollments for the 2023 kindergarten year have been secured, this process was entered into with the full support of the Parish, and now at the 11th hour they retract support.
Children who are currently enrolled at St Andrew's Kindergarten, will now have to find another kinder for next year. Over 60 families, who enrolled into the 2023 program will now have to find another kinder for next year and countless siblings will never get the chance to experience the kinder their brother or sister attended.
Generations of families have attended St Andrew's Kindergarten, it has been a pillar in the Moonee Valley community, providing exemplary early childhood education; a place to feel safe, supported and encouraged to be a confident learner.

We, the undersigned, call on the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne to step up, take control of St Andrew's Anglican Church and reverse the selfish decision,, extend the Kindergartens lease into 2023 and beyond to secure our children's future.
