Protect our Faimlies on the Florida Roads

The only test required to renew your drivers license when you turn 65 is an eye test. So people who can see but, barely walk can keep their license. Elderly drivers don't always want to admit when they are physically uncapable to drive or don't realize it till it is too late. They will put their own and others lives and health at risk, including you and your childrens until someone finally takes their license or they do the unthinkable. Just think about your child crossing the road and an elderly driver not stopping in time. This is something that no parent should have to deal with, when a simple test could have stopped it. I personally have been in two accidents with elderly drivers because they were unable to react in a reasonable time. These tests are as simple as a flashing light and a timer. Equipping every DMV office in the state with a reaction time test would cost less than $250,000. And training for the staff would take less than an hour.  That is a tiny cost to pay to protect us and our children. Imagine the lives that could be saved. So please sign and pass on the word.
