Protect Canada's Grizzly Bears

A study finds many grizzly bear populations in Canada are on the verge of extinction and have no legal protection- 16 subgroups are on the brink of extinction in regions where they once flourished.
Low reproductive rates; increase oil and gas development and habitat destruction; climate change; death from unsustainable sport hunting, control kills, poaching, -and overfishing the food they eat have made Canadian grizzly bear the most vunerable large mammal on the continent. For the last 10 years, it has been strongly recomended to legally list and protect grizzly bears on the Species at Risk Act, (SARA).
We ask that you list the grizzly bear on the Species at Risk Act and take action immediately to create a management plan and conservation measures to protect and recover the grizzly, and to prevent this bear from disappearing before it is too late.
