Hello! Currently the current code says that:
10.24.030: ADDITIONAL PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
A. Two Hour Parking Spaces: Once the two (2) hour limit has expired on a two (2) hour parking space, no owner or operator of the vehicle which occupied that two (2) hour space shall park within three hundred feet (300') of that same parking space.
In this verbiage, they have established a 24 hour cycle. So if they tag you at 9am in a 2 hour spot, you leave at 10 am, run your errands and come back downtown at 3pm and park within 300 ft of your original 9am spot, then you receive a ticket.
This code needs to be amended to say that every parking cycle (2 hours), the distance requirement resets. How the current code is enforced is unfair to business owners and visitors alike.
I want your support to get our parking commission and our city council to revisit and update this code. Please sign this, share it and tell your fellow citizens.

Sam Taylor has agreed to work on this with me prior to the March Parking meeting. We are meeting the week sometime around 2/13 so I will keep you all updated!
