Save the Holbrook Town Forest

People have enjoyed the Holbrook Town Forest for generations.

That is at risk now.

There is a development planned for a parcel in direct proximity to the town forest, including 5-story residential buildings. The property owner is seeking to purchase a 32-acre swath of land from the Town of Holbrook to expand the project.

Included in the section of land in question, trails and natural forms that have been used for years, and would be directly impacted and encroached upon. If the sale goes through, there could be a 55-foot tall residential building overlooking families hiking through the forest.

Holbrook does NOT have to sell this property.

Help save the town forest, help preserve the beauty of nature in the forest for the future of Holbrook.

Sign the petition, and ask the town not to allow apartment buildings to take over our forest.

Update: the town has listed the parcel for an auction to take place in 2 weeks.
The auction is conveniently just before the town election, in which one of the members who wants to sell the land will most likely be replaced.
The voices of the people are not being listened to; rather, the decision makers who stand to gale gains from the deal are taking it home.
