Rusty, an Endangered Mexican Gray Wolf, Was Slaughtered by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

Rusty, an endangered Mexican gray wolf, has been tragically killed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Left in Rusty's wake are a pregnant mate and several yearling pups, now alone and less protected. Mexican wolves are critically endangered and we must do everything we can to protect them, not kill them if they act on natural instinct!

Sign now to demand USFWS prioritize non-lethal methods and stop killing animals!

Rusty is the 22nd wolf that authorities have killed since the U.S. began species reintroduction.

The wolf was killed after allegedly hunting for local cattle. But the USFWS should not be prioritizing cows' lives over wolves' lives in the first place. Mexican wolves are absolutely imperative to the health of the landscapes of the southwest. Unlike cows, which are a non-native species that tend to destroy local landscapes, wolves are what many scientists refer to as "ecosystem engineers."

The USFWS must prioritize non-lethal methods and commit to helping increase wolf populations, not slaughtering more of the beloved animal! Sign the petition now if you agree!
