Rebuild McDowell Elementary

McDowell Elementary, a wonderful school that has been part of this community for 95 years! We need the communities support to help rally behind the school and make awareness of it's current problem. The old school is falling apart.. it has mold, exposed asbestos, standing water, leaky pipes, bat infestation.. and 300 of our communities precious kids are expected to spend 8 hours a day, five days a week there. Not only are the students being exposed to this, but the teachers and staff! We have to fight for the Maury County School board to recognize our need and approve the rebuild of our school. The new school will be rebuilt on the same property just behind the current school. Please help spread the word.
We will have a petition for signatures at the store for the next two weeks.
The most important thing you can do is show up to the MCSchool Board meeting Monday March 26th 6:00pm.
