Demand "Drag Queen Story Hour" To Be Removed From EVPL Calendar Now!!

"Drag Queen Story Hour" is planned for February 23 (and possibly every other month) at the EVPL - North Park. It specifically targets children 11-years-old and younger, and is not acceptable.

The library has responded to the requests of between 25 and 30 families in support of this event. How many Evansville families will stand up against this issue, and oppose it? Will you? If so, read the following:

"By signing this petition, I am stating that I am a local tax-paying resident of one full year or more, and I am expressing my firm opposition to the EVPL holding a "Drag Queen Story Hour" this coming February or any other month.

If the EVSC must get parents' permission before teaching any form of sex-education to our children, the EVPL has no right to give access or influence of adult-based sexual choices to our kids!

Drag Queens represent a sexuality that is a chosen sexual lifestyle for some adults, and it is not acceptable that our tax dollars should pay for indoctrinating our local, library-card-carrying children through our tax-dollar-funded library.

Any and all sexual/gender-fluidity education and/or influence is solely the responsibility of the parents, and not that of a tax-payer funded organization! I demand that any and all Drag Queen Story Hour events be removed from the EVPL calendar now!"
