Demand an end to homework now!

Homework is the root of all problems, many children and teenagers around the globe suffer from stress and anxiety because of it. They are unable to be social or be active, causing many other issues later on in life.

The main reason for homework is that teachers are unable to teach all the content in 1 class, but that is their job. Why should our generation suffer from their inability to work through content quickly.

I am a mother of 3 children, one in year 10, one in year 6 and the third in year 3. All three of them seem to get homework regardless of the class and how much they participate in it. If they don't finish their set work for the day then that can understandably be up to them to finish in their own time. But as for set homework, I will except none of it.

My 16 year old has suffered from ADHD and depression since year 8 due to her lack of free time and relaxation time. I have complained to the school and they have done nothing about it, instead told her she must catch up. If there is so much content in the curriculum that it needs to be done at home, then i think the curriculum needs revisiting.
