We have 5 dogs, (one of which we have for medical reasons), and the other 4 are sled dogs. Meire Grove, MN, recently imposed an ordinance that limits residents to 2 dogs per household, and they are demanding we GET RID of some of our dogs! They refuse to grandfather us in as an exception.
Please sign the petition to help us get grandfathered in so we can keep all 5 of our dogs!!

Today I heard back from an animal law attorney in the Twin Cities area. It is a few hour drive from me. She charges $50 for a 30 min consultation, $300 an hour and upon consultation she decides what the retainer fee is. We need to raise more :/ https://www.gofundme.com/4kuyeu5g

We attended the city council meeting to ask to be grandfathered in. The city voted 2 to 1 against us being grandfathered in. They are keeping the ordinance to 2 dogs and for us to keep more than 2 is a misdemeanor offense. City council is not allowing the Grandfather Clause for any resident of the city. And the mayor made a comment about my petition signatures being nothing because they didn't come from ppl of this city.

I will be presenting my petition to city council March 17th at 7:30pm. I am hoping to pusuade city council to grandfather us in as well as all the dogs owned by Meire Grove residents before the ordinance limit was established. I have appeared on one MN tv news station and one live radio station interview. I'm being interviewed by another station March 15th.
