STOP WWIII IN THE MAKING

Some sort of chemical weapon was used in Syria on August 21, 2013. It injured about a thousand people. However, there has still not been any solid proof that this assault was made by Assad against his very own people. It very well could have been a small bomb used by rebels. Also, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said that it will take about two more weeks for the results of the chemical samples to come in.

President Obama has stated some time ago, that he will not strike Syria, without the permission of Congress. However, now he is considering that launching a strike anyway. By doing this, he is BREAKING INTERNATIONAL LAWS. The laws state that without the complete approval of the UN Security Council (permanent members), an attack on another country is illegal. President Putin (Russian Federation) is against an attack , and the British Parliament shot down Cameron's call for military action.  By striking Syria, without congressional approval, the President is also breaking America's law. Don't attack Syria until there is SOLID PROOF of the use of chemical weapons.

When WWIII comes knocking on your door, do NOT invite it in.

Dear Congressman,
I would like to know, that as a US citizen, that I too, have a voice (through you). I do not believe that the US should strike Syria without solid proof that they did in fact use weapons of mass destruction against their own people. I have read in several newspapers, that it is still not clear whether the chemical attack made earler was by rebels or the government. Also, the lab results from the UN have not come in yet-US Secretary of State, John Kerry has said, that according to his resources, sarin was used in the attack. This means nothing to me. Especially, since I know that the resources are not the UN. I have spent a couple hours online asking people to sign this petition. The chief point of this petition is to not attack Syria without solid proof. I barely have any signatures at all and it looks hopeless. But I, as a concerned citizen, ask you to say no to military intervention. I am starting high school soon and I am terified of a war starting overseas.
Yours Sincerely,
Sabreen Miah
