Person/s unfairly dismissed from the Burswood Casino Western Australia by Security

Enough is Enough

The Security at the Burswood Casino have been targeting patrons unfairly, and turfing out patrons that have been having a good time, wanting to wind down from a hard day’s work or week, and so on.
It is a proven fact that patrons have been unfairly picked and then had the embarrassment of getting walked out by security. Security targets the wrong type of people that are just happy to go to the Casino and have a good time. "Of course patrons will go there and want to wind down after a hard working week, have abit of fun and let their hair down".

Some patrons may have red eyes, security don’t both ask why, as some patrons I know of, that have been turfed unfairly, are welders, work long / late hours/ shift workers etc. Or just happy go lucky people and laugh out loud and still get asked to leave. And another thing, it is believed if they don’t turf anyone out for the night, they are encouraged to pick someone to do so, possibly to look good.

It is understood to turf out patrons that are stumbling contiuously, falling over due too drunk, violent, abusive etc, they deserve it. NOT because the security assume that patrons are drunk, accidently fall over or stumble / trip due to their shoes or other and still manage to walk normally thereafter. Laughing loud, not liking the looks of them, I can go on and on.

Another proven fact is that security provoke and aggravate patrons to do and say things, giving security reason to throw them out, that’s wrong and unprofessional.
Many patrons I know and know of, who enjoy going to the Casino and are dedicated to continue to support the Casino by spending their money there. Have been those patrons who can’t understand why the security have picked them. Those who have been targeted, are those who have control of over their alcohol intake and are at a mature age, they maybe may be abit tipsy, however, NOT DRUNK, there is a difference. They ain’t causing any problems or harming any one around them.

Security, especially the young kids/ yes kids, can’t call them adults with their immature and inexperienced attitudes, need to be trained correctly or they have a chip on their shoulders and think they are touch nuts, wrong. Are these security (Cowards) trained properly or what? I’ve been in the security industry myself and from my experience and knowledge, speaking to patrons and warning them of their suspected manner in a professional way. And letting them know there are security around. Speaking to them in a civilised way; patrons will start behaving, especially, if they are thinking twice of getting drunk and beyond. If they do step beyond that, then fair enough, turf them.

NOT go up to a patron and SUSPECT OR ASSUME has done or is doing wrong. Surround them and security standing there with attitude and embarrassing them in front of friends and other patrons. Then walk them out with 5 to 10 cowardly big headed, morons.

Your Rights

There are codes of conduct and / or Acts in place it is “LIQUOR CONTROL ACT 1988 – SECT 115”
115 Drunk etc. people, offences as to, refusal of entry to etc.
(1) Where a licensee, whether personally or by an employee or agent –
(a) Permits –
(1) Drunkenness: or
(2) Violent, quarrelsome, disorderly or indecent behaviour to take place on the licensed premises.

Security HAVE to abide by 3 out of 4 reasons / signs to turf a patron out of a licensed premise, which they have to ensure they do not mistake intoxication for a disability and potentially discriminate. they are:
1. Slurring speech - Understandable
2. Unsteadiness on the feet - Understandable
3. Glazed / Blood shot eyes (the issue could be that a medical or generic condition, work related. It may not necessarily be drug or alcohol related)
4. Smell of liquor on the breath. (I'm not sure about this one) (what are you suppose to do when you've been drinking alcohol?)

If these Acts HAVE NOT been met, then there is every right for a patron to stay.

Petition

If you have been one of those patrons been turfed out of the casino unnecessarily and unfairly, please by all means put your first name, what, when, where you were approached, how you were treated, what reason for you being tuffed, what security said.

All patrons want a fair go and not been targeted by Security unnecessarily, stop this Enough is Enough.

Let’s go to the casino and enjoy ourselves, without having the security breathing down our necks and stop letting patrons having a good time. And also giving them negative thoughts of going back to the casino, taking their business / money elsewhere. Believe, me it's already happening, and the Burswood Casino / Security are getting a bad rap.

Security need to just cut the slack, ease up and give the patrons who are not trouble makers a fair go, and be security officers not morons.

Name: Joe Bloggs or Joe B of Bentley. Date: 02/01/2015

Comment: At the casino last night 01 / 01 / 2015, about 10pm, I was only there for about 1-2 hrs, with mates, I was approached by security for yawning, suspected me of being too drunk, I tried to tell them but security incised and surrounded me with 4 -8 personnel. I was just there having a good time, never again I will return there, they have lost another dedicated customer. I have been coming here since day one of opening, I am a local from Perth. I’ll take my money and spending elsewhere where I can enough a drink without being accused for no reason.

Hopefully we can make a difference and make the WA Burswood Casino a place to go and wind down. And have the positive thought of continuiously going back there and NOT thinking of the place as a shithole.
