Giraffes Need Protection Now

Giraffe populations have plummeted by an alarming 40% in the last 30 years, in large part due to demand for giraffe products and hunting trophies in the U.S. and around the world. But world leaders, particularly members of the European Commission, can help crack down on this deadly trade at the upcoming Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species conference (CITES).

Speak out now: Tell European leaders to help protect giraffes from extinction at CITES.

Subject line: Protect giraffes by listing them on Appendix 2 at CITES

Dear World Leader:

Giraffe populations have plummeted by an alarming 40% over the last 30 years, in large part due to demand for giraffe products and hunting trophies in the U.S. and around the world.

That's why I'm contacting you. Please use your power as a European leader attending CITES by supporting the proposal to list all giraffes on Appendix 2 of the Convention.

Listing giraffes on Appendix 2 is critical -- without it, the brutal giraffe trade would be completely unregulated and drive already imperiled giraffes closer to extinction.

The future of giraffes and other endangered species depends on your actions at CITES -- please take action to protect these majestic animals.
