Demand the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) does not burn live baby bees over new Brexit laws!

A beekeeper, Patrick Murfet, is trying to bring 15 million baby bees into the UK says he has been told they may be seized and burned because of post-Brexit laws. He’s always imported the Italian bees for his Kent business. They help farmers pollinate valuable crops. But new laws that came into effect after the UK left the single market mean that bringing bees into the country is banned. Who in the 21st century burns baby bees? The UK?
Tell the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in the UK to get it together once and for all. Defra needs to declare that live bee imports can go ahead in the UK or suffer crop shortages and more imports in the future. And no bee burning! The very existence of bees are threatened and they would do this now?
