Defend the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Elizabeth Warren's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has helped countless Americans avoid becoming victims to predatory lenders and shady credit card companies.

So it's no wonder that it would be one of the first items on the chopping block if Republicans take the Senate this November.

Mother Jones is now reporting that a Republican Senate will move to strip countless regulations from the financial industry, especially ones championed by Warren's CFPB:

"Republicans are particularly keen on handicapping one particular federal watchdog: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the three-year-old agency that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) devised and helped build in the wake of the financial crisis."

More handouts to the rich, heavier burdens on middle class families, and greater risk of global economic catastrophe — that’s what’s on the agenda of Senate Republicans if they take the majority.

If we don't act now — that agenda quickly becomes reality. Join the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in denouncing Republicans who want to eliminate regulations that protect the middle class.
