Millions of drivers were mis-sold car finance deals and are owed billions in compensation

Millions of UK drivers trusted their car dealer to get them a fair deal on finance. Instead, many had their interest rates unfairly hiked or faced excessive charges so that dealers could line their own pockets.
This was not just unfair. The Supreme Court has ruled that it was unlawful.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has promised a redress scheme to pay drivers back. Unless we act now, the scheme risks paying victims less than they are truly owed.
If you took out car finance between 2007 and 2024, you could have paid hundreds of pounds more than you should have because of unfair commissions.
Why you need to act now
The FCA's consultation is happening within weeks. Once the rules are set, it will be much harder to change them. We need to make sure the voices of ordinary drivers are heard before lenders shape the outcome.
We are calling on the FCA to ensure it designs a scheme that guarantees; fair compensation, every consumer gets the support they need to claim and independent oversight of the lenders to ensure the scheme is administered properly.
Don't let lenders off the hook. Sign now to demand a fair, independent redress scheme.
