This November, Americans will vote in the most important, high-stakes election in modern history. Sadly, millions of voters must navigate a minefield of voter suppression tactics because of where they live, the color of their skin, or their economic status.
After a surge of 5 million voters in 2008, particularly from communities of color, voter suppression efforts across the country have only increased. Today our voting system is riddled with repressive voter ID laws, gerrymandering, voter purges and precinct closures that disproportionately target communities of color.
Make no mistake — securing every American's right to vote is essential to save our democracy.
We need to ensure that every voice is protected and heard. And we need your help to make it happen. You can help create a citizen movement to protect democracy by participating in CREDO Mobile's monthly public vote that determines how CREDO will allocate $250,000 to three different organizations that are playing key roles in this year's election.
This month, CREDO is donating to Black Voters Matter, Democracy for America, and Vote.org.
Sign your name today and we'll send you instructions on how you can vote for up to three organizations to receive vital funding from CREDO, that will further support the fight to end voter suppression and restore voting rights to all Americans.
