Our planet is drowning in disposable plastics, many of which are made to be used only once, yet last forever. By 2050, there's expected to be more plastics than fish in our oceans if we don't take bold action to eliminate these wasteful, single-use products.

Single-use plastic bags are among the most insidious, harming wildlife up and own the food chain, particularly in our oceans. Many communities have attacked the problem with bag bans or surcharges that have dramatically reduced plastic bag pollution. Now it's time for the private sector to step up. Kroger, one of the nation's largest grocery chains, committed to eliminating single-use plastic bags from their stores. It's time other chains to follow suit.
