Trump is accusing ActBlue of soliciting and accepting "illegal donations" from foreign actors - which there is no evidence of. Instead, back in the 2016 election,
the Cambridge Analytica scandal revealed that one foreign actor - the Russian government - did interfere in U.S. elections, and that Trump and other Republicans benefited from this.
We don't know yet what form this investigation is going to take. But Democratic causes and candidates have used ActBlue to process small, grassroots donor payments for approximately 20 years. What data will Trump and his cronies get their hands on?
