Give the Children of Kita, Mali a Chance

For too many children in Kita, Mali, the future can look grim. Less than half of all children even complete grade five... and that lack of access to education fuels the cycle of poverty that leads to some of the highest maternal and child mortality rates in the world.

The children of Kita have not given up hope, though. If we step up and take action, we can help give them a chance at a bright and happy future.

Plan Canada's Community Sponsorship project just launched in Kita, and already it is making a life-changing difference by increasing access to early and primary education and improving maternal health care. Even something as simple providing necessities like clean water, proper sanitation facilities and adequate food will help transform this community.

But this great work cannot continue if we don't let the world know how huge an impact this project is having on the lives of children around Mali.
