The SCOTUS Ruling that Denies Access to Birth Control Coverage is Wrong

On July 8, 2020, the Supreme Court upheld Trump administration rules that allow employers and schools to use their personal beliefs to deny birth control coverage.

Your boss or school has no business in your sexual and reproductive health care decisions. Restrictions like this impact Black and Latinx people who are more likely to be low income and for whom basic health care has always remained out of reach, because of historic and continued underinvestment in access to affordable care.

In a time of dual public health crises — COVID-19 and systemic racism — our communities deserve more support. Yet, SCOTUS allowed the Trump administration to make essential health care even more difficult to access.

Health care decisions should be made between people and their doctors, not by politicians pushing political agendas. Sign the petition to join the fight to ensure access to affordable birth control for all.
