Change the Lives of Schoolgirls through Reusable Sanitary Pads

No one should have to miss school because they get their period. But girls' equal access to education in eSwatini is jeopardized because families cannot afford sanitary pads.

For the young women of this region, lack of access to affordable sanitary pads meant regularly missing school, falling behind. Unfortunately, many of the girls never catch up. Crossroads International is doing something about it. By funding the entrepreneurial efforts of forward thinking women-run businesses, we're ensuring women and girls have the opportunities they deserve to succeed and thrive.

The Tizabalazele Make Sanitary Project is a group of entrepreneurial women weavers who manufacture affordable, reusable sanitary pads which allow girls an alternative to missing a week of school. The financial and logistical support of Crossroads International helps make it all possible.

Every girl has the right to an education. Every woman has the right to control her own economic destiny. We're proud to be a part of securing both.

Crossroads International is a leader in international cooperation and has been advancing equality for 60 years. Crossroads works with local partner organizations to create decent jobs and to empower women to become leaders and live free from violence in some of the world's poorest nations.

Together we are leveraging knowledge, expertise and dollars to create a more just and equitable world. But we can't do this important work alone. We rely on the ongoing support of people like you.

Can you join with us, and support the important work of Crossroads International?
