Imagine sending your dog to a place that promised to care for them and improve their quality of life through training, just to find out your precious pet was
being tortured to death."Done Right Dogs" was a training and boarding facility in Mora, Minnesota.
But the owner did anything but right by the dogs that owners trusted her with. After a family returned from vacation to find their dog had died at "Done Right Dogs," the red flags were too much for authorities to ignore. The dog appeared malnourished and neglected. An investigation began.
When
authorities arrived at the facility, run out of the business owner's home, things were worse than they ever could've imagined. Nine dogs were dead and another nine were in horrible condition.
Multiple dogs had no access to food or water. Some dogs were trapped in tiny crates; others were literally tied up.Sign the petition to demand justice for these poor dogs! One dog that was found alive is named Buddy. Buddy was rescued by his owner, who then sent him to "Done Right Dogs" in an attempt to help him gain training, confidence, and to start his new life right.
When authorities found Buddy, he had lost nearly 15 pounds, was coated in urine and feces, and had "broken nearly all of his teeth." It is a miracle that Buddy and eight other dogs survived this house of torture, but they face a long road of physical and emotional recovery.
We must demand justice, for both the surviving and deceased dogs, and their poor owners that trusted the owner of "Done Right Dogs."
That justice needs to truly protect all future animals -- so on top of whatever charges this animal abuser is facing, we must demand that part of her sentencing be a total ban on owning or working with animals in the future. Sign the petition if you agree!
