Sea Isle City, NJ is a vacation paradise and its slogan says it all- "Smile! You're in Sea Isle!" This small, friendly seashore community is also home to approx. 3000 year round residents.
We are writing this petition out of concern for the future of our town, community and public school. As indicated by our name, families are uniting as a community to ensure quality education for our children, while still maintaining a strong sense of community and a prosperous town.
Over the course of the last two months, some of the current school board members have acted unethically and without the best interest of the children. In order to ensure the children's education is at the forefront of the board's agenda, we as a group need to work together to stop any hidden agendas or unethical practices. This type of action from a school board can only affect our community in a negative way, not only for the children, but as property owners, taxpayers, and local businesses owners.

Please know that we are not just about "Saving Our School"; We are about "Saving our Community" as well. We want to make sure that if Sea Isle City Public School should close, our children will be guaranteed the same quality of education, and not just sold to the lowest bidder. In the school board campaign (run by the four newly elected board members) it was promised that Ocean City Schools were the only option available and no other options would be acceptable.

We are looking to our school families and our community for all of their support in doing the right thing and taking a stand. We have the best interest of our children's education and the future of our communit and town are at stake.
